After a 12 month upgrade, our former local trade processing plant near Burnham will soon have its full export licences for beef, sheep, deer and bobby calves and is expected to re-open in November.Utilising the latest technology along with strong leadership within the group will see South Pacific Meats Malvern become one of the leading competitors in the South Island meat industry.This is a unique opportunity for key members of the plant management team to take up their roles before the plant opens and to contribute to the hiring policies and operating structure of this state of the art facility.Reporting to the Plant Manager the Production Manager is accountable for ensuring the effective management and development of the site to optimise plant capacity, optimise yields and ensure excellence in customer delivery.You need to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as the capacity to draw out the best in others, encouraging them to contribute. You will be a good organiser and able to deal with many issues at once.
