An exciting and challenging position has come available for a proactive and experienced Finance administrator to manage the scholarships financial responsibilities, and to drive process improvements specifically related to the payment distribution process.The Student Services Portfolio is driven to provide senior policy advice and direction in two broad areas, guided by the University‘s strategic objectives:
- Enhancing the student experience for all student groups, ensuring that the diverse needs of students are at the forefront of all planning and decision making at the University of Canterbury
- Providing direction and substance in support of internationalisation
Reporting directly to the Associate Registrar, you will require a Tertiary Qualification National Diploma (NZQA Level 5), as well as:
- Proven experience in a financial role
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service position
- Ability to communicate effectively and be a good listener
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Skills in maintaining an effective filing system (records, information and correspondence)
- Comprehensive understanding of the NZ Qualifications Framework e.g. NCEA, Unit Standards
- Ability to interpret regulations
- Able to solve problems and prioritise work
- Knowledge of tertiary institutional systems
