8 month Fixed Term Position, Lincoln basedSome of the most exciting parts of the New Zealand economy revolve around land. In fact, through the specialist and professional courses we teach and our highly respected research programmes, Lincoln University is 100% committed to transforming land, people and economies.Right now, we’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Graphic Designer to join our team in Marketing & Recruitment, to cover parental leave for 8 months. Ideally you would be able to start 3 October 2011.As part of the team, you will work on a number of projects including print advertising, publications and the design of exhibition materials for events, as well as work for the University Faculties and Research Centres.A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, who we expect to have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of 1 year diploma in graphic design.
- Significant experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, Adobe Acrobat, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with, and knowledge of the offset and digital print process, along with preparing files for pre-press.
- A professional outlook.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work swiftly and effectively under pressure.
- Designing for online would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in a PC environment would be advantageous.
- A portfolio of current graphic design work to present during the interview process.
