The Gallagher Family Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full time position within the In-Patient Unit (IPU) specialist hospice team.
We would welcome enquiries from Registered Nurses with a minimum of three years postgraduate experience and currently studying towards a postgraduate qualification. Experience in palliative, oncology or other specialist nursing fields is preferable.
Hospice Waikato provides a holistic, family focussed service to the Waikato community. We work with those who have complex palliative needs in a holistic manner. Key to the role is working in a multi disciplinary team to support patients with life limiting illness and their families. To work in this environment you need a positive attitude, great communication and assessment skills.
The position is 1FTE working rostered and rotating shifts. Hospice Waikato has four models of care, which provides our staff opportunities to extend their skills and knowledge in the IPU and community teams.
