Working in core public sector, within a department that has secured funding for at least the next four years for the current programme of work, you will enjoy the autonomy in this mixed legal and policy role.
With at least 2 years post-qualified experience, you will have an in-depth understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and the process for settling Treaty claims.
We are seeking an individual with outstanding written and statutory interpretation skills and the ability to provide pragmatic advice that fits within a policy framework. You have the ability to engage effectively with people from all walks of life from Ministers of the Crown through to members of the public.
There will be some travel involved in this role as you will be working in project teams whose key stakeholders may be nationally distributed.
