IRIS Community Living offers 24 hour support in homes for people with physical and intellectual disabilities. IRIS Community Living works in partnership with people, their families and the local community to support them to live a regular life.
You will be responsible for supporting our clients in tasks of personal care and home management in accordance with individualised client needs and person centred plans. These person centred plans will outline our clients hopes and dreams, and a plan to get there. Ideally you will have a Level 2 or 3 NZQA (or equivalent) qualification with a good knowledge and understanding of how a disability can affect a person. Experience working in a support service is preferred and you will have a good command of the English language.
Specific requirements include:
- Able to assist with personal cares
- Good cooking skills
- Full clean drivers licence
- Passion for working with people
- High energy level
