Our client, a long standing New Zealand firm within the Financial Services, currently requires an Advisor/Assistant Assistant (Share Broking) for their busy Christchurch office.This is a very rare opportunity with an outstanding firm. You will be assisting an experienced Advisor in maintaining and expanding the companys client base by developing and maximising new business opportunities and building and maintaining good relationships with potential and existing clients. You will also be involved in client database management and ensuring that relevant paperwork completed in a timely, accurate manner and to a high quality.This role will either suit those with previous experience within share broking or financial planning, those with experience in a non-client facing role who are looking to develop into a customer role, or potentially recent graduates with at least 12 months financial services experience who are looking for an entry level role within the investment industry. You will receive intensive one-on-one training and mentoring from a market professional, and will have the opportunity to work towards relevant advisory accreditation. This role provides a huge amount of scope for progression within the trading and financial advisory sector for a candidate that has the drive and desire to really perform.We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a passion for the financial markets and is looking for an opportunity to really develop their career in the industry. As this is a client facing role, you must have exceptional communication skills, the confidence to perform sales phone calls, be involved in networking initiatives, and have the ability to develop solid client relationships. You will need to have the proven ability to multi-task in a pressured environment, have strong analytical and numerical skills.
