Water We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.On the back end of numerous large infrastructure wins in New Zealand, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal level Civil Design Engineer with significant experience in the design, construction and commissioning of water (water, wastewater, stormwater) related infrastructure. You will be involved in the Christchurch rebuild work and will be increasing our depth of experience locally. This is a technical leadership position which will provide you with immediate involvement on a number of existing jobs, and you will also have a key role in ongoing client relationship development to help identify and secure other opportunities.The role will see you involved in challenging projects from inception to delivery phase. You would be involved from the very start in delivery of the Christchurch rebuild work. In addition, you would provide technical leadership and mentoring to our existing staff, and will have a leading role in recruiting new staff to our team. This position will involve you in helping to support existing projects and pursue potential projects throughout New Zealand and Australia. You will be providing the technical direction for water engineering design, and we will provide you with extensive support in this role including access to many of the leading international experts in water infrastructure design who work for AECOM.The ideal candidate will hold more than 15 years experience within the water infrastructure design sector, including concept planning, design and implementation. Experience with design of small to large pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks and other related water infrastructure is ideal. Local experience in Christchurch with key water utilities is a plus and will be considered very carefully for this senior role. AECOM is much more than just a place to work.
