Account Manager – Products
We currently have a fantastic opportunity within our Siemens Building Technologies Division for an Account Manager with experience in HVAC / Electrical technically based environments.
The responsibilities of the role are to:
- Manage and develop Customer accounts and strong Customer relationships in order to grow sales and margins in assigned market segments, geographical areas and customer groups in line with set targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in order to achieve sales growth in accordance with business targets and strategic objectives.
- Keep assigned channels and customer groups / accounts up to date with Products and Services offered by the SBT group and the Company’s capabilities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities of the Company’s products and services and initiatives to develop strong Customer relationships.
- Development and implementation of regular customer visit schedule(s) to ensure regular contact with customers on an agreed cycle.
- Determine and undertake customer training of the Company’s products and services to enable a greater understanding by customers of products and services sold and supported by the SBT group.
- Maintain up to date and complete files for customers, quotations, sales and technical literature in accordance with the Company’s systems and procedures.
- Provide detailed sales, market and opportunity reports on a regular basis in line with Company requirements.
- Work with management to ensure assigned channels and customer groups are managed within the overall SBT group guidelines and objectives.

- Good technical knowledge of HVAC / Electrical control systems and applications
- Intermediate or greater Microsoft EXCEL and WORD software skills
- Ability to learn and use Customer supporting tools (ie; ACT Customer Software)
- Outstanding ability to “cold call”
- Strong promotional and presentation skills
- 3 or more years of experience in strategic and benefit selling of solutions and systems.
- Ideally, you will have Trade qualifications in a relevant industrial field. You will be a self starter who is driven by a sense of achievement whilst enjoying the challenges of day to day business.
