The Institute of Directors (IoD) is seeking a Board Services Executive to join their Board Services and Business Development Team. The IoD promotes excellence in corporate governance, represents directors’ interests and facilitates their professional development through education and training. Its membership represents the full spectrum of New Zealand enterprise, from the public and private sectors to small and large business
Reporting to the Board Advisory and Business Development Manager this role will manage director search and recruitment services on behalf of client companies along with providing meaningful analysis and advice pertaining to director remuneration. The role also functions as the Deputy Registrar, Accreditation for all member accreditation processes and correspondence. The role manages a talented pool of Director candidates while interacting on a daily basis with senior business leaders including members and clients of the IoD.
The right candidate could come from a range of backgrounds and experience with some of the ideal characteristics as follows:
- Tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Human resources and/or talent management experience
- Experience in the provision of advisory or consultancy services in a professional or recruitment firm.
- Senior policy analysis and establishment including interaction with stakeholders.
- Experience with executive level selection & assessment tools
- Superior written and verbal communications skills
- High level computing skills including word processing and database management.
- A flair for marketing and a strong customer service focus.
- A good understanding of governance issues through management or consultancy roles with board or director interaction would be an advantage.
