Were looking for both an Area Sales Manager and Super Star Sales Representatives to source great local businesses for New Zealands first Group Buying website – Groupy, now owned by the Yellow Pages GroupWe’re after someone who is self-motivated, socially out-going, fun and above all else smart! You must show initiative and have your finger on the pulse of Wellington businesses.Groupy works with the best local businesses in the following verticals: entertainment & dining, activities, travel and accommodation and health and beauty. To find out about Groupy take a look at our site – www.groupy.co.nzIdeally you will: Have a strong sales background and youll be able to demonstrate a proven track record of achieving phenomenal results. Have strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building and negotiating skills are fundamental requirements of this role as is the ability to recognise what a great deal looks like; both for the buying customer and the local merchant offering the service. Be extremely well presented verbally, in written form and in person. Show initiative and motivation to achieve high goals. Be technologically competent and experience in digital sales would be a great advantage. Have connections to local Wellington businesses and brands is a huge advantageAdditionally for the Area Manager role you will: Have experience in Sales Management roles with demonstrably strong sales and team/people management skills. Be able to lead and develop the Wellington sales team and to champion Groupy within the business and to coach and lead your team to deliver revenue and customer targets. Above all, have a real a passion for Group Buying!What you’ll be doing: Identifying great new businesses to feature on the website. Contacting these businesses by phone or drop-in visits. Negotiating deals that get the great new customers for our merchants while also achieving our sales revenue targets. Managing new businesses through the processes of getting their daily deal created and featured on the website. Working with existing businesses to ensure they are presented in the best possible way and all their needs are met.
