IDEA Services provides support services for people with intellectual disabilities so they can live, work and enjoy life as part of the community.
We currently have Full time and part-time vacancies in our residential services across Christchurch. There are late afternoon/evening and weekend shifts available including sleepovers. We are looking for resilient, enthusiastic people to support adults to actively participate in a wide range of social and recreational opportunities.
You will have skills that motivate, support and encourage people to develop friendships with others that share similar interests. You will also have good mentoring and coaching skills to assist people to learn skills to access their local community; use public transport and support them to manage their household routines.
You must hold a full New Zealand Drivers licence and be comfortable driving automatic as well as manual vehicles.
