An emerging mining company is building a new open cut coal mine in an attractive residential location. With the development of their operation, they seek a dedicated and experienced mining supervisor to take the reins of the on-site management. This is a great opportunity to move into a stable permanent position with long term career prospects while gaining exposure to new mine development.

In this position you will have the responsibility of the following:
- Maintaining a high level of operational standards and procedures
- Meeting development and production targets set by the company
- Supervision and coordination of the contractors and development crews
- Assisting with the mine planning of the operation
- Promoting safety awareness while maintaining effective teamwork and communication
To be considered for this role, candidates will require:
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role in open cut coal operations
- Worked at superintendent or equivalent level with tickets and qualifications to match
- Strong man-management capabilities with effective communication skills
- Some exposure to mine planning with above average use of MS Excel
- Strong project management abilities – ideally with previous mine development experience
