Applications are invited from experienced Mental Health Clinicians interested in a roleworking with at risk young people. We are looking for a dynamic clinician for the Regional Youth Forensic Service (RYFS) in a multi-disciplinary environment, based at the Kari Centre in Greenlane.
RYFS is a regionally focussed team whose primary role is the assessment of children and adolescents involved in the Youth Justice systems, preparing formal reports on their mental health needs for the Courts and other agencies, and providing short term therapies and consultation to a small number of young people. We also provide clinical services to young people in secure residential care, and Court liaison services.
Applicants will have experience in child and adolescent work, and preferably forensic services, and be able to provide comprehensive to mental health assessments, deliver effective evidence based treatment strategies for young people who present to the service, and work collaboratively with other team members and other services. A high standard of report writing is required.
This part time role (32 hours per week)requires no on call or after hours work and is based at GreenlaneClinical Centre. This is a fixed term position to cover maternity leave and will be available from 12th September 2011 and will end on 7th September 2012.
Appropriate current NZ registration and full and clean drivers licence is essential.
