Our client has an immediate requirement for a Transformation Consultant/Programme Manager to join their Wellington based Practice.
A summary of the position is as outlined below.
JOB SUMMARY
Experienced in Application Transformation engagement ( involving Application re-architecture, change of Technology platform) in Microsoft Technologies
Experienced in National class solution development and Implementation
Consultant & Advisor for the program, meeting the business user objectives / expectations
Able to set directions and align our clientsinternal team, in line with their Clients objectives / expectations.
Consulting , Influencing and guidance to customer team involving Business users, Client Architecture team , Client Program management team , organization change management team
Good communicator with Clients team, 3rd party vendor, internal team.
Setting joint goals with Infrastructure vendor, a dependent for success of this engagement.
Build trust with CIO & senior management, to showcase success of this program to Business
Stakeholders management
Leadership to make this transformation program a success, to meet Outsourcing objective of Client.
Must have delivered at least two large scale technology driven transformation programs of individual values exceeding 20Mil USD, in countries like UK, USA, Australia , Canada, Singapore,
Hands on Program Management skills
REPORTING:
You will be reporting to the Delivery Unit Head for the Regional business
DUTIES, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proven track record in senior executive program lead across large and complex ICT programs, portfolios and organizational change and transformation programs through Technology ,inclusive of, ITIL, Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) IT Service Management, Best Practices & CMM.
Strong understanding of the stakeholder relationship between all Business and Operational needs, through the development and execution of agreed change and program management plans
Experience in introducing transformational change in application usage, using new Technologies and applications. Ability to coach, mentor and train others in change and transition management.
Should be clearly able to demonstrate passion towards implementing system change through a consultative program and sound negotiation
Can demonstrate innovative and creative approach to constructing solutions and solving problems whilst working within broad parameters and guidelines of internal and external process requirements.
Should be able to enjoy the challenge of major programs or projects and working closely with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and senior management to ensure successful business outcomes.
Prior proven experience in customer co-located onsite and remote offshore delivery models and leads and motivate the team to excel.
Proven track record in successfully delivering to Rapid Application Development (RAD) or more specifically AGILE methodologies.
Large program Risk Management experience for identification, managing and communicating risks.
This is a hands-on job and the potential candidate must be an active practioner capable of creating programme management framework specific to the programme under his/her control on his/her own. This is not an Account director position.
CANDIDATE BACKGROUND:
Successful candidate will be from the Project and Program Management background in the IT and consultancy industry wherein they have knowledge of implementing software solutions for IT Services.. He/she must have the personal stature and judgment to gain the confidence of clients, 3rd party vendors and colleagues at all levels in their respective organisations, coupled with the ability and conviction to influence and persuade. Candidates who have successfully delivered at least two Application / System Change / transformation programs in last 7 years only need to apply.
Qualification and Experience:
Should be an Engineer with an MBA in systems, information management or similar discipline from a reputed school
Has significant program management, PMO, Portfolio Management and Application Life Cycle Management experience
Experience proven in the past 5-8 years in similar capacity and overall more than 18 years of Information Technology delivery experience
Prince2 or PMI project management methodology and MSP (Managing Successful Programs) program management methodology experience.
Should have exposure to multi cultural environment
Experience in transformational programs
Enterprising and able to demonstrate collaborative program leadership
Experience in conflict resolution
Should have worked in multiple partner, vendor Management environment
LOCATION:
Base location will be Wellington, New Zealand but the candidate must be ready to travel for short business trips across the world.
