This construction organisation has gone from strength to strength over the years. They are one of the leading civil, roading and heavy engineering contractor in the NZ market with operation covering the pacific islands and Australia. From humble beginnings their name has grown to be synonymous with civil and road construction.
Currently they have number of major projects around the country. These projects cover civil disciplines across roading, structures, drainage, earthworks and heave engineering construction. With growing demands they are currently looking for a Civil Construction Programmer to join their Project Controls team in the major project division.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager – Major projects, your responsibilities include developing and updating the master programme for producing monthly reports, all short term planning including weekly planning and progress meetings, managing & coordinating the supervisors and engineer’s weekly programmes as well as subcontractors program.
You will also be involved with monitoring and developing the design programmes, coordinating and running meetings to optimise the best coordination so as to ensure the construction programme stayed on track.
To be successful you will require:
- Preferably five or more years experience as a construction Planner or Programmer with through understanding of driving construction program, scheduling processes and procedures\
- Strong construction Programming Software Knowledge – Proficiency with MS Projects and Primavera (P3 to P6) or CCS Candy, is of definite advantage
- Preferably have experience with planning civil construction and major infrastructure works on large scale projects;
- Proven capability to resource various civil works works with labour and plant requirements;
- Proven capability to integrate works into schedules by other subcontractors and specialist contractors;
- Proven capability to monitor accurately work progress from site inspections.
