RX Plastics is part of the global Aliaxis group and specialises in manufacturing and marketing plastic water transport and storage systems for the rural irrigation, plumbing and civil infrastructure industries. Operating for over 35 years the companys head office and 3 of its 5 manufacturing plants are based in Ashburton and 2 are located in Hamilton. Employing around 160 people, RX Plastics has an enviable reputation for quality and speed to market with innovative products.
Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, this is a diverse critical role providing optimal production plans and purchasing plans to achieve manufacturing, sales, inventory control and customer satisfaction targets. Important will be your proactive communication across the business to provide timely and accurate information and make recommendations to improve performance tied to the programme of continuous improvement activities set against Lean principles.
You will be experienced in production planning incorporating the monitoring of min/max inventory levels. Also important will be strong analysis and reporting skills to utilise software and become involved in the development of a new integrated ERP system. Having a proactive communication and team working approach will see you contribute your expertise to the business and in return receive significant coaching and professional development to progress your career in planning and logistics.
