Palmerston North, a vibrant, thriving city located in the central North Island. Just look at our Arena and Convention Centre which provide facilities for the hosting of Conferences, Meetings, Weddings, International/National Sporting Events, Trade Shows and Community Recreation. Your role as Marketing Manager is to further increase the utilisation of our venues, support the Manager Venues, co-ordinate events and marketing communication initiatives. We want someone in this fast paced, exciting role who is a self-starter and able to work autonomously but is also friendly and professional. A ‘can do’ attitude is a must, with a strong determination to see projects through and delivered on time.
Your creative flair will shine through and you will confidently go about your work. Liaising with editorial and advertising media won’t be a problem as you’re a ‘people person’ who can communicate effectively and is comfortable building and maintaining great relationships. You’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification and your experience in managing and setting budgets will be useful as you’ll be responsible for delivering activities within a budget. With a strategic thinking approach you’ll develop a strategic marketing plan that attracts commercial events of significance to our venues from outside the region.
