These people as individuals offer a range of diverse skills and experience, but there is one common characteristic that really helps set Rocket apart from the rest… PASSION.Reporting directly to the Managing Director the Operations Managers focus will be on managing a busy manufacturing operation with emphasis on production planning that leverage Rockets ability to maximize market opportunities and capitalize on throughput to ensure best return on investment. This role provides overall leadership, planning expertise, specialist support and coordination with the sales and project managers in a fast paced manufacturing environment .As Operations Manager you will work closely with production, sales and administration where you will need to apply you operation experience to continuously challenge the status quo and drive improvement in manufacturing performance. To achieve the expected results in this role, you will have significant experience in operational and planning roles within manufacturing environments demonstrating the ability to provide cross functional leadership. Practical experience in working with and effectively meeting the requirements of the production and sales teams is essential. You will have a thorough understanding of MRP/ ERP systems together with strong practical computer skills in both general and specific manufacturing and planning software. Key to this role will be your ability to provide leadership to the team utilizing your advanced interpersonal and communication skills. You will have a dedicated focus on maximizing throughput and wider business improvement. This role will appeal to highly motivated operational manager looking to influence the development of the business and make an immediate difference. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be able to demonstrate your substantial operations management experience preferably within visual communications, printing or digital printing industries. Your strong leadership and influencing skills will be critical to you affecting positive change and your well-developed negotiation skills and professional approach will underpin your success.
