In 1984 Melba Foods became New Zealands first quality frozen dessert manufacturer. In 2006, Melba Foods joined Priestley’s Gourmet Delights, one of Australias leading dessert suppliers. Our range includes cheesecakes, gateauxs, individual desserts, tarts, slices and other wickedly indulgent dessert products.We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to be based in Christchurch with a territory that will require overnight (minimum 8 nights per month) travel away from home. Melba Foods has a strong emphasis on developing customer intimacy and being category experts. Our major customers are synonymous within the caf, restaurant, catering and food service markets both nationally and internationally. We work closely with our preferred distributors to plan promotions and meeting customer needs. Fundamental skills required for this role are: Proven Food Service Sales experience Capability to provide and tailor value added services for customers and build Distributor and End-users relationships. Planning a Call Cycle including Objectives and achieving these Sales delivery via features and benefits not simply by priceYour experience will demonstrate your ability to work in this autonomous role; both in your ability as a sales person but as well your problem solving skills in dealing with the logistics of managing this territory.A fully maintained company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone and all requirements to perform the job are provided.
