Are you an experienced commercial insurance support broker with solid knowledge of MD, BI, GL, SL and EL covers along with house, contents and cars?
In this role you will be supporting brokers andgiving advice around fire and general insurance products, so product knowledge is a key element.
Your keyresponsibilities will include:
Focusing on small to medium sized enterprises
Identifying prospects and obtaining their authority for the company to act as their brokers
Developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship betweenthe companyand existing clients
Developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship betweenthe companyand insurers
Growing the value of existing business by the provision of improved / increased service or insurance cover.
Day to day activitywill include:
Dealing with client queries
Processing new business, renewals, endorsements, claims (as required)
Scanning and filing of all documentation as processing completed.
Reviewing of open claims
Assisting with presentations and submissions
Corresponding with clients and insurers
Following up outstanding debtors
Reviewing and up-selling, cross selling policies and services
Back up to reception on a roster basis
You must have:
Fire and general insurance policy wordings and the coverage provided
Insurance processes involved in writing new business, renewing existing business, remarketing of accounts and making adjustments to cover as required both Commercial and Personal Lines.
Insurance claims management knowledge
Knowledge of the insurance market in New Zealand
Knowledge of insurance standards and practises
Knowledge of standards of insurance practise and applicable regulations and legislation
Be working towards professional insurance qualifications
Registered Financial Services Provider (or able to be registered).
Competent computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, iBroker or equivalent insurance data base.
