We are looking for a Logistics Manager from the Warehousing and Distribution industry. Our client has a large facility with loads of activity and daily requirements.
Core duties will include:
- Monitoring the storage and distribution of products
- Managing the work loads, shifts and staff numbers
- Ensuring all staff is working inline with the health and safety requirements
- Running a FIFO system
- Monitoring KPI’s and implementing new initiatives
- Putting out tenders and managing the transport contracts and service levels
- Inwards and outwards goods
- Inventory management
Successful candidate will have:
- Strong leadership skills – leading a team of 20 of more staff
- Ability to motivate staff to exceed expectations
- Warehousing and distribution background (5 years + in a supervisory / management role)
- Flexibility to work between 40- 48 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
