We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join us. You can be based in either the Auckland or Wellington office and you will advise and coach the partners, principals and senior solicitors on all aspects of business development and marketing for the Firm. Some travel will be required between the offices.

You will be responsible for driving forward strategies and activities in support of practice group business plans, industry group and key client plans. This involves identifying opportunities, developing objectives, creating plans and driving delivery of initiatives and action items. You will lead pitches, and facilitate and develop new client cross selling opportunities. You will work with senior fee earners to develop their individual marketing plans and assist with the development and delivery of tailored business development training for legal teams.

You will be enthusiastic, a creative thinker, have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. You will also be an energetic, robust, self-starter who can take ownership and responsibility for all projects and tasks to achieve a consistently high level of results.
This position will suit someone with a minimum for five years relevant BD/Marketing experience, ideally within a professional services environment. You will have a proven track record in project managing and delivering pitches and proposals. You will have experience coaching and influencing senior fee earners and partners to adopt new approaches or techniques.
