Housing New Zealand Corporation is the governments social housing provider, and provides access to decent housing solutions for New Zealanders with priority needs. As one of the countrys largest asset managers, the Corporation is responsible for managing over 69,000 properties valued at $15.1 billion. Its goal is to provide effectively for those most in need, for the duration of need, through the right products and services.
This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished manager to lead the Communications and Media Team at Housing New Zealand Corporation. Working closely with the Communications Director and a collegial and supportive management team, the successful candidate will lead the provision of communications support for the Corporation, ensure consistent positioning, scan the environment to identify risks and opportunities, work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to manage issues, and build solid relationships with media.

Candidates also need to be experienced people managers, who can lead and support a geographically split team of communications professionals. Experience in the public sector is desirable, while knowledge of the machinery of government is critical.
