Based in Whangarei we need an experienced, committed and enthusiastic leader to join our Whangarei District Council Maintenance team. You will have responsibility for programming and supervision of maintenance works on the local authority network as well as after hours emergency management. In addition, your Health and Safety and Environmental record should demonstrate your ability to lead, and a desire to motivate those around you to continuously improve.You will bring to this role:
- Experience in road maintenance/construction
- Proven experience in work planning and management
- Accurate record keeping experience and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- The ability to create and maintain sound working relationships with the team and stakeholders
- Self motivation coupled with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- The drive to achieve productivity goals and deadlines
