Business Development Manager AF Logistics
AF Logistics Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Foodstuffs (Wellington) Co-operative Society Limited. AF Logistics provides transport and warehousing services to Foodstuffs, Foodstuffs related entities, and non related customers.
We have new permanent requirement for talented and experienced Business Development Manager to join our client, AF Logistics.
The Role
The position of Business Development Manager is accountable for sourcing and pursuing all opportunities by seeking and maintaining strong relationships with both new and current customers in mind of expanding and growing the Company. In this role, you will also contribute to the development and management of the Companys pricing policies which ensure both growth and profitability within our industry. By gathering and utilizing market intelligence, develop sales and marketing databases you will be able develop new or refine old strategic alliances for the Company. In this role you will also contribute to the development and implementation of the logistics and business processes (including primary freight) in conjunction with the roll out of new customers and new business services to ensure planned profitability is achieved.
The Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need most of the following criteria:
  • Previous successful experience in business development, marketing, and sales management.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in a medium to large transportation/logistics organisation will be highly regarded
  • Time management & Sales and business planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong negotiation ability
  • High level of business skills with experience developing and implementing new business systems
  • Experience working within industry networks to gather marketing information and business intelligence
