Kelston Deaf Education Centre provides
educational programmes and services to Deaf and hearing impaired students. Our Pre-School is licensed for up to 30 bi-lingual and cross-cultural students who are aged between 2-5 years.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher who will be responsible for teaching our Deaf,hearing impaired and hearing pre-school students and providing support to our pre-school team.
You will be highly organised, flexible to deal with a wide range of personalities and preferably have had previous experience of teaching Deaf and hearing impaired children. Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential and the ability to communicate using NZSL is highly desirable. Previous experience in an ECE Teaching position which provided a stimulating learning environment is essential.
The focus of your position will be to ensure that our pre-school students achieve their full potential in a safe, caring and happy environment.
