The Churches Education Commission is one of NZs largest volunteer organisations. It partners with churches who provide around 4000 staff that empower students to make good life choices by teaching or modeling positive Christian values in schools across the country.Were rolling out an exciting new programme that will significantly grow the number of teachers and chaplains that work with kiwi kids. One of the first steps is moving our national office to join the team in Auckland. As part of this we need an Auckland based Office Manager.For this position, youll need to be excited about our mission this is critical! Youll also have heaps of experience in managing an office, including its staff. Thirdly our Treasurer says youll have at least three years experience in accounting processes. As well as getting us to trial balance, this involves GST, PAYE, ACC etc.Because were a small, tight-knit team, there are heaps of other things that you are likely to get involved with. For example:? We have a large database that constantly needs taming.? Our volunteers are awesome; we need them to experience this every time they call in.? We create and import resource material. This has to be sent to our teachers.? We communicate with all sorts of people through the phone, letters, forms, flyers and newsletters. If you were creative with words and desktop publishing, that would be a real bonus.Then theres attitude. Our team is motivated and full of energy.
