Start up schools require a particular type of Educator; one who thrives on the energy and focus needed to both establish and shape a new school. Any Educator who has been part of such a venture will attest to the need to give 150% both inside and outside the classroom in an effort to live out the school’s mission and to provide a first-class teaching and learning environment for newly registered students. Start up schools require Educators with talent and drive in addition to a sound knowledge of their craft and the ability to implement programmes in what sometimes can be, trying and frustrating circumstances. You are creating a school climate and building a school culture; the academic and extra-curriculur foundation you lay in those important first months and years, will determine the success of the school and ultimately, the success of your students.
