A position of Maitre d/Manager has arisen at Bar Salut, Greytowns hottest Restaurant and Tapas Bar. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is enthusiastic, focussed and passionate about what they do.

Bar Salut is a family owned business serving superb Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired tastes and a great selection of wines along with exceptional service in a humming atmosphere.
Its a great opportunity to work pro-actively with the owners to ensure its continued success.

As our Maitre’ d/manager you will oversee our FOH five days a week. We are looking for a person with strong Restaurant and Bar skills with a firm commitment to excellence to take ownership of the day to day running of our FOH.

You will be a team player but have strong leadership qualities; be able to move with pace, though stay calm under pressure; and have a passion giving quality service to our guests, at a consistently high standard.

Reporting to the Owners, you main job would be
o Manage the day to day running of our well organised, systematic FOH
o Impart knowledge and training to your team and encourage high standards
o Assist with the design and costing of new wine lists
o Manage staff roster in conjunction with owner
o Assist in maintaining a tidy, clean and efficient Bar and Restaurant
o Control stock movement to minimise wastage and maximise returns
o Assist in the employment and training of new team members
o Respect our brand and culture philosophy
o Be flexible towards tasks and hours
