Powerco Limited is a leading New Zealand energy utility with electricity and gas networks connecting 410,000 consumers across the North Island.
This is your opportunity to influence and support the Powerco Executive Management Team in delivering ever improving health and safety performance.
You will provide specialist advice and support across the business and to your four direct reports who will be based in different Powerco offices.
You will also:
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety strategies, projects and tactical plans (ensuring outcomes meet business and stakeholder expectations)
- Monitor and review the Health and Safety performance ensuring Powerco meets and exceeds performance targets
- Lead and manage the focus on Health and Safety across Powerco
You will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Extensive experience working in the Health and Safety field
- Proven experience in successfully leading a team
- A high level of communication skills (verbal and written)
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and related standards including AS/NZS480, Occupational H&S Management Systems, NZS7901, Public Safety Management Systems.
