All team members are empowered and encouraged to be proactive & creative in contributing ideas and sharing information.The role of IS Programme Manager is a newly created position to take ownership of the planning, structuring, leading and execution of the IS programme of work. This will include the monitoring of expenditures and the adherence to delivery timeframesagainst the expectations of the business groups.Responsibilities will incorporate PM methodology ownership and mentoring of project managers (IS and Business), as well as the mmanagement of major IS projects. Primary areas of accountability will include the following: – Work with stakeholders to define business requirements for new technology implementations. – Review of IS programme of work to identify projects that have positive business cases and work with project sponsors – Build, manage and motivate the Programme team. – Communicate project management standards and techniques to the appropriate IS staff. – Define how the scope, goals, and deliverables of IS projects should support business goals, in collaboration with senior management. – Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project lifecycle. – Effectively manage project teams time and allocate resources to ensure deliverables are completed. – Provide input to wider IS strategic plan. – Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IS spending and initiatives.What will you look like?To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following: – Certification in Project Management (Prince 2 or equivalent) – A minimum of 8 years experience in Project / Programme Management using leading methodologies and processes. – Strong understanding of project management principles. – Experience of managing multiple parties including Senior Project Managers and third party vendors. – A good understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures. – ITIL certification highly advantageousOn a personal level, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, good leadership qualities, a high level of self motivation, as well as a strong customer service orientation.
