Due to our phenomenal growth and consumer demand, we are looking for a National Sales Manager in New Zealand to motivate, manage, lead & enable the team of Deal Scouts in our Auckland office as well as within Wellington and Christchurch.

Your job is to manage and grow the NZ Spreets business by leading and motivating the team to find the most exciting, best tasting & compelling things to do in New Zealand and turn them into awesome Spreets deals.

This is a hands-on role where you will be on the front line with your team negotiating deals as well as managing the team to individual & team KPIs. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience managing a high performing, highly motivated team in a fast paced environment. It goes without saying that you have extensive experience managing end-to-end sales, account management, understand marketing strategies & the latest social trends…. And know the best things to do in Auckland and across New Zealand

This role requires a person to understand our members and deliver what our customer love and will ensure they not only buy our deals but they refer to family and friends.

What you’ll be doing….

• Manage, motivate and drive the team to achieve team & individual KPIs and personally contribute to the NZ sales budget
• Ensure quality control of deals proposed by Deal Scouts including: Approving sales contracts, ensuring effective and accurate Salesforce usage
• Continuously improve the quality of NZ deals
• Drive regular reporting and sales meetings
• Promote the Spreets culture within the team
Management of end-to-end Sales Cycle
Work with Australian Sales Director and team with scheduling for NZ including working with Editorial team to ensure content creation of deals
• Ability to develop and implement tactical sales initiatives
• Ability to drive performance & accountability across the NZ team
• Mentoring, and training Deal Scouts
• Recruitment of Deal Scouts as and when required
• Lead generation and prospecting the right businesses
Cold calling and identifying key decision makers and stakeholders
• Drive performance and accountability within the NZ team
• Introduce and promote the Spreets business model, negotiate and close amazing deals
• Account management to ensure ongoing business with the merchant
• Understand the market, including merchants/businesses, members/customers and your city and local social trends to effectively deliver the best deals
• Relationship management and development with Yahoo! New Zealand team

What you’ll need…..

• 4+ years experience in Sales Management Role with demonstrably strong sales and team/people management skills
• Experience working for a similar organization e.g. Online, Group Buying or Directories is desirable
• Demonstrably strong knowledge of New Zealand and specifically your city, in terms of what people love to do, social trends and where to find the best deals
• Strong commercial acumen around marketing and advertising
• Excellent negotiation & networking skills
• A passion for Group Buying
• Salesforce experience is desirable
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• A keen eye for detail, coupled with strong English written skills
• An outstanding cultural fit to Spreets is essential
