The recently opened Novotel Auckland Airport is located directly outside of the International arrival hallat Auckland International Airport and within easy walking distance of the domestic terminal.
263 guest rooms offer either one king or two double beds, all with double glazing to eliminate airport noise.
This role works closely with the Executive Housekeeper, where you will oversee and run the Housekeeping team to ensure the smooth operation of this department on a daily basis. You will be seen as a leader of this department and will utilize your previous experience to create and implement effective procedures to ensure all guests expectations are met in room presentation and standards. You will also be responsible for some admin tasks.
Responsibilities include:

Help oversee the day-to-day operation

Manage the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper

Prepare rosters

Checking of rooms and reporting defects

Following up with Room Attendants to ensure the rooms are cleaned to hotel standards

Training of your housekeeping team

Daily supervision and motivation of housekeeping team

Manage material costs and minimize wastage
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in Housekeeping
- Previous supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Opera advantageous
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Team player skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Flexibility with hours and duration
- Knowledge of Front Office operations
