Permanent, 0.7 (28 hrs per week) Taranaki District Health BoardTaranaki District Health Board is seeking a Clinical Cardiac Physiologist to assist with the expanding services offered by the Cardiology services at Taranaki Base Hospital. The eligible candidate for the position should: – Have the CCP or A.S.C.T or equivalent qualification that is recognised by the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT). – Be registered with the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology Registration Board The applicant is expected to have appropriate training and experience in undertaking Cardiac Diagnostics. The applicant will also be trained in Pulmonary Function Tests and be prepared to complete any further training as the need arises. The candidate will report to the Charge Technologist in charge of the department and work along side the other Clinical Cardiac Physiologist, as well as other members of the cardiology team. Taranaki Base Hospital is the main medical centre in the Taranaki Region, which has a population of approximately 105,000. Taranaki Base Hospital has 210 beds catering for all major specialties. New Plymouth is an attractive coastal city close to major surfing beaches and Mount Taranaki/Egmont.
