A leading, well established manufacturer of Electrical and Automation sensor technology that deal in a range of products known for their quality and innovative technology is looking for a Sales Engineer, due to an internal promotion. With a successful international track record they are a well received and respected brand within their target markets in New Zealand.Based in Auckland, an exciting opportunity exists for a Sales Engineer to utilize their Automation expertise in Industrial Electrical / Instrumentation engineering fields. While a proven background in sales is not essential, you must have the willingness and drive to learn. We are looking for candidates with integrity and passion with sound technical aptitude who are interested in building their careers rather than just looking for another job. You will be responsible to identify and develop new business opportunities through efficient management and building up of defined sales territory. You will manage an existing client data base providing high levels of customer service and helping find solutions. Your ability to maintain an active relationship with all clients with prompt follow up of their requests will work to your advantage. This role will require maintaining a comprehensive understanding of their products, pricing, and strategy. You will be required to travel within New Zealand and off shore.A sound understanding of industrial sensors and controls, electrical and different types of I/O devices is essential for this role. You are highly motivated and driven with the ability to work independently and be part of a team. We are looking for Sales Engineers with excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in customizing sales presentations to suit customer needs and interest. You have a proven background in successful negotiations within a technical/automation environment. A trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering electrical, instrumentation or mechatronics is an advantage.However, serious consideration will be given to candidates who possess sound technical skills and the drive to succeed in sales.This is your opportunity to join an established and fast growing company in sensors and controls.
