The Civil Aviation Authority is the safety regulatory authority for New Zealand.

The Aircraft Certification Unit, within the Airlines Group, performs a variety of regulatory functions including; aircraft type acceptance, type certification, design approvals, issuing airworthiness directives and the inspection of aircraft for airworthiness certificate issue. The Unit is actively involved with new technology projects relating to aircraft upgrades, the development of new aircraft and components and the introduction of new aircraft types into New Zealand. The Unit also has considerable involvement with maintaining international relationships with overseas regulatory agencies.

As the Airworthiness Inspector within the Aircraft Certification Unit you will process the entry and exit of aircraft into and out of the civil aviation system through the issue of airworthiness certificates. This position requires travel within New Zealand and the position requires the holding of an aircraft maintenance engineer licence and a minimum of five years experience in the aviation industry.

To be successful in this role you will be expected to build professional and technical credibility within the CAA and the industry and constructively influence industry activities.
