THE EDGE is New Zealand’s leading performing arts, commercial entertainment and convention facility and is a central feature of Auckland’s Aotea Quarter and Viaduct Event centre.
This role involves ensuring excellence in service delivery of events within THE EDGE venues, and requires a focus on details, enabling us to exceed our client’s expectations every time.
The Duty Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and professional delivery of all aspects of event services including Front of House, Food and Beverage and operational event management. The role includes responsibility for the management of THE EDGE after hours, acting as the most senior person on duty.

- Sound knowledge of Microsoft computer programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel) with good keyboard skills and knowledge of point of sale operating systems
- Availability to work flexible hours, (including evenings, early mornings, late finishes, weekends and public holidays) with commitment to work the hours required
- Some experience in food and beverage service, preferably at a four to five-star level (formal training a distinct advantage)
- A working knowledge, at an operational supervisory level, of the workings of a conference centre, hotel or similar hospitality or service related environment including liaison with sales, event planning, client contact, banquet operations (or similar) and on-the-day delivery to the client
