- Three Month Senior Accounting Role – within the Treasury space.
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to hit the ground running – ideally you have a background in Treasury, however a strong Accountant or Auditor would be considered. Great opportunity to gain some Commercial experience within a leading Bank.
Working as part of the wider financial team, this is a specialised unit focussing on the accounting for the banks Treasury, Institutional Banking and Markets activity.
The team oversees the production and delivery of all balance sheet reconciliations – as Team Leader you will ensure the timeliness and accuracy of these reports. Get involved with projects within the wider Finance team – and proactively evaluate the current control structure, suggest and develop processes to ensure efficiency. Experienced working in team environments you enjoy collaborating with your peers – and will work across the wider finance team regarding best practice protocols and continued business improvement.
Ideally you also hold the following attributes:
- Charted Accountant – with banking experience
- Strong financial markets knowledge and understanding of banking products
- Understand the valuation drivers for derivatives – interest/currency swaps, futures & FX forward
- IFRS knowledge – and how the standards apply to financial instruments
