Here is an opportunity for a qualified Forester to be part of a positive and dynamic team managing our Northland estate.

Hancock Forest Management is a Forest Stewardship Council certified forest manager responsible for the management of 234 000 hectares throughout New Zealand.

Based in Whangarei and reporting to the Forest Operations Manager, the Forester will be responsible for planning, scheduling and managing operations, planning and monitoring operational activities within HFM’s GIS system, field checks, and the approval of supplier payments.

The successful applicant will hold a tertiary qualification in forestry or a related field. Sound computing skills and capability in using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are necessary.

This is an operational role and the candidate will be required to undertake field activities and fire duties.
