NMIT are committed to the provision of aviation education & training for New Zealand.NMIT and RNZAF Base Woodbourne operate a successful joint aviation engineering training programme. We now require an outstanding team leader with specialist skills and knowledge to guide and oversee the next phase of our growth; which will include wider engineering development from the Woodbourne campus.As Programme Area Leader (PAL), youll be responsible for;
- Teaching, learning and the learners experience,
- Quality management and standards improvement,
- Target setting and tracking of students,
- Curriculum development,
- Employee engagement and development,
- Student and staff recruitment.
Youll manage the programme area budget with responsibilities to meet KPIs and EPIs whilst driving quality improvement in the various programmes that make up the area of responsibility.Reporting directly to the Group Manager, youll lead and manage a team of approximately 20 staff within the aviation engineering programme area.Youll have a minimum of 5 years aeronautical engineering experience for teaching units or equivalent within the aeronautical engineering sub field.Youll hold one of the following:
- An aircraft engineering trade certificate
- An Aeronautical Engineering National Certificate at level four or above
- The NZ Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Basic Licence
- An RNZAF Training Approval
