Following a steady increase in the workload in 2011, and a further projected increase for rest of the year (and next), this building services team has a career opportunity to offer within their Electrical Building Services division.
A role exists for a degree qualified Intermediate Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years relevant electrical building services design experience; however, they will also look at offering the position to an more junior level engineer (min 3 years) and provide the necessary training.
You will be running your own projects (typically small to medium) and supporting senior engineers on larger projects. Your main tasks will include carrying out conceptual and detail design and analysis to enable preparation of documentation, attending project meetings and liaising with architects, council staff, contractors, etc.You willalso prepare reports and submissions, write specifications, mentor junior/graduate engineers.
This is a client-facing role so your written and verbal communication skills are as important as your technical ability. You will have relevant electrical building services design experience and be committed to progressing your career in the building services industry.
Projects are diverse and interesting, ranging from educational, healthcare, commercial and residential to retail new builds.
