Compac Sorting Equipment is a world leader in sorting and packing technology and equipment for fruit and vegetables. Wholly NZ owned with head office and a staff of 130 in Auckland. Compac is a global company with equipment operating in over 20 countries and over 250 staff in NZ, Australia, USA, Europe, South America and Asia.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Onehunga, a superstar who has experience in designing electrical, control systems and PLC designs.
You will be responsible for;

Providing turnkey electrical designs to industry standards (globally)

Producing electrical specifications, drawings and spreadsheets

Designing, implementing and maintaining a suite of electrical control panels and automation systems solutions

Providing assistance to manufacturing as well as testing and commissioning of automation systems

Producing assembly procedure documentation, wiring diagrams, test equipment and manufacturing jigs to assist production in manufacture of control system assemblies

Developing architecture for our automation systems incorporating selection, application an programming of PLCs, SCADA software, HMIs and automation networks

Producing PLC, HMI and network code, with appropriate specification documentation
Our ideal candidate will have:
-
Engineering degree in Electrical Design or Mechatronics

5+ years experience in electrical design
-
3+ years experience in PLC/HMI/Network design
-
Understanding of electrical and electronics assembly
-
Registered (or working towards EWRB license registration)
-
Competent with Microsoft office suite
-
Excellent problem solving, organisational and time management skills
-
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
-
No restrictions to travel (nationally and internationally) as and when required
