In this role you will:
- Provide a regional overview and management of projects and business development opportunities within the Arts, Culture and Events Unit (ACE)
- Provide regional relationship management for ACE lead team with key internal/external stakeholders and contractors as required
- Manage and co-ordinate unit input into Business Plan development, CAPEX planning, Asset Management plans, Annual plan and Local Board plans
- Manage and assist unit Lead Team and staff within the identified projects and processes.
Your analytical and evaluation skills will be key in this role, especially when implementing process improvement and ensuring best practice and consistency across the board.By utilising project management methodologies and frameworks, you will efficiently and effectively design, review and evaluate programmes within agreed timeframes, budgets and in line with council’s critical plans and objectives. Relationship building/management and collaboration are a primary focus. You will foster strong working relationships across a variety of areas both internally and externally; encouraging engagement and positively influencing all parties to ensure a successful outcome.As an important requirement of the role, you will be expected to demonstrate exceptional communication skills to be utilised throughout the project verbally and in written form via reports and plan input.
As the perfect person for this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in business management/operations management or similar and programme/project management, a minimum of five years experience in business planning or a similar field, experience in driving consolidation and improvement in an environment of change. A background in local/central government would be an advantage, but not essential, as would experience within arts and cultural events.
