Based in Porirua, Te Roopu Awhina is seeking to appoint oneCommunity Support Worker in Mental Health for30 hours per week, who is passionate about providing an excellent service to others along with enjoying training and learning new skills. Do you relate well to a diverse range of individuals with a focus on supporting those with moderate to high mental health issues? Do you have good communication skills and wish to work within an innovative, small, friendly and dynamic team?
This position offers an exciting opportunity for people keen to make a positive difference in the lives of the people they support. Applicants will have a minimum of a National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4. You will ideally have knowledge in recovery models strength based practice and Maori models of best practice. Experience working in this field or in the social service industry is required and must have a current fulldriver’s license.
