This civil contracting organisation specialises in delivering infrastructure projects and provides maintenance and management services to look after New Zealand‘s key assets, including waterways and coastal areas, local roads and state highway networks and water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
Currently they are seeking a experienced Contracts Manager with strongexperience in the delivery of roading and civil construction projects. Based in Christchurch and as part of the management team of the construction division, you will be responsible for pricing/ tendering construction projects and leading the construction teams on delivering various civil contracts successfully with great client satisfaction.
Ideally, 10 – 15 years roading/civil construction experience and be appropriately tertiary qualified (NZCE, Diploma or BE Civil), and display the following attributes:
- Experience with earthworks, pavement construction, concrete works, drainage and sewer, ancillary structures and minor landscaping construction
- Strong knowledge and understanding of NZS 3910 Contracting requirements
- Exhibits good planning, initiating, and controlling skills and is able to direct work teams effectively
- Able to run a number of projects concurrently
- Able to communicate with engineers council personnel and labourers effectively.
