A Wellington based financial services firm is wishing to recruit a research analyst to cover companies in the energy sector in New Zealand. The successful applicant will work with a team covering similar stocks in the Australian market and will be servicing institutional clients both in NZ and overseas.
The work will involve industry analysis, financial modelling and generating reports and investment recommendations. The successful applicant is likely to have the following:
- energy sector experience gained as an analyst in an analytical or quantitative capacity
- be highly numerate, with exceptional financial analysis and modelling skills
- demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas succinctly
- possess marketing and sales capabilities
- tertiary qualifications possibly in finance, engineering or geology
- CFA qualifications or intentions to obtain these
