Texmate NZ is a fast-growing contract manufacturing company with a strong commitment to producing high quality electronic products for our customers. We are currently looking for an experienced production planner / inventory controller to join our dynamic, multi-national team.This is a busy and challenging role with the primary objectives being inventory management, production scheduling and material requirements planning. It will involve extensive collaboration with our engineering team and production staff, so it is essential that you are able to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory using Ostendo
- Running the MRP system using Ostendo
- Creating and maintaining BOMs
- Purchasing of components and forecasting demand
- Managing flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process
- Liaising with design engineers and project managers regarding requirements for up-and-coming projects
The successful candidate will need:
- An understanding of MRP and inventory control procedures
- Knowledge of storekeeping and warehouse methods and procedures, including physical inventory and record keeping practices
- Knowledge of electronics/electronic component identification
- The ability to improve warehouse functions, policies and procedures
- The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- High accuracy with figures
- Strong attention to detail
Ideal experience:
- Operational knowledge of materials requirements planning (experience with inventory/stock computer systems such as Ostendo highly advantageous)
- Experience in purchasing electronic components within an electronics manufacturing environment
- Experience in preparing production schedules for the manufacture of industrial or commercial electronic products
