This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of professionals in managing our foster care programme andbuilding a competent team of caregiversto provide a safe environment for the children and young people in our care.
As a Foster Care Social Worker, you will be responsible for
- the recruitment, training and support of our caregivers
- oversight of appropriate placement and ongoing support of children needing care
- partnering with Child, Youth and Family in planning the care and future plan for children
- developing and maintaining foster care policies and procedures
- on call duties
- keeping all records relating to the children and the caregivers up to date and accurate.
Working collaboratively with CYFS and other community agencies you will have a sound understanding of issues related to domestic violence, parenting and care and protectionof children.
