A dynamic new role with IDEA Services.
We have an exciting new full time position based in the Counties area (Pukekohe) for someone who is passionate about supporting people with an intellectual disability to engage with the community and fulfil their dreams.
This role entails coordinating, facilitating and leading the person-centred planning process. This process is designed to support people to achieve the life they want. You will be working in partnership with the person, their family and networks to map out a plan for the life they want to lead.
You will also assist staff to evaluate progress and develop creative solutions to make this plan a reality. This role will report to the Area Manager and be part of the areas Senior Management Team. We require someone who has a relevant tertiary level qualification in the health/disability or community sector and who has a full NZ Drivers Licence.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a high level of organisation and time management with the ability to plan, implement and monitor outcomes. You must have the ability to provide leadership in a team setting with a high level of communication.
You will need interpersonal and networking skills as well as strong written communication skills. You will also need to have highly developed facilitation skills with the ability to initiate and manage positive change. Data analysis skills with experience with Word and Excel will be required. You will need to demonstrate an awareness and sensitivity of the Treaty of Waitangi with a passion to empower people to achieve.
